What is Internship Experience UK?

Internship Experience UK is a free online programme offering work experience to students over three-days. Running between 29 June and 16 July, there are six core sectors to choose from, delivered by leading employers and industry experts. Participants will have the chance to complete a project which simulates real-life graduate work.

By participating in a virtual internship experience, you’ll meet world leading employers, discover opportunities and develop core career skills. Employers involved include Goldman Sachs, Bain & Company, Amazon, PWC, Bloomberg, M&S, EY and more.

Will participants be paid? Participants will not be paid to complete the Internship. The experience is designed to upskill students, build connections and boost employability.

If people aren’t available during the Internship can they still take part at a later date? Yes. All of the sessions will be recorded and made available at a later date, which participants can watch in their own time. They will, however, miss out on some parts of the live experience, such as networking and office hours with employers.

How will the Internships be delivered? Bright Network will deliver the Internships using an online Events Management platform that requires no downloads from participants.

Will participants receive feedback and how will that work? Yes. For submitted simulated work samples, participants will receive feedback on how they performed and areas for improvement through peer-to-peer marking based on model answers and score sheets.

Join us for our webinar, Virtual Internships: Why and How?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many organisations are looking to translate their traditional face-to-face internships into remote opportunities.

Join us for a webinar where we look at how you can access these virtual opportunities, including some specific virtual internship schemes. We will also explore how you can maximise the experience for your future career development.

Ready to apply?

The application takes about 10 minutes to complete. There are an unlimited number of spaces on the experiences, however, Bright Network want to see passion from applicants for their career development.
