An Italian Student …

--

looking for the perfect school of business to meet her aspirations

Valentina de Guglielmi could have read for her business degree anywhere she wanted in Italy, but apart from learning the foundations of international business and marketing, Valentina wants to be fluent in English. She chose Saint Martin’s Institute of Higher Education to read for a University of London BSc (Hons) in Business Administration with International Business over three academic years.

Valentina de Guglielmi, from Schio — Italy, has just finished her first year Diploma in Entrepreneurship (MQF level 5) which allows her to progress to the second year of the University of London BSc (Hons) in Business Administration, completing it over the next two academic years.

Why would foreign students choose Saint Martin’s Institute?

Without doubt, students are attracted by the international standards set by the world renowned University of London. Whilst Valentina and her colleagues are attending classes at the Institute in Malta, they are assessed and examined by the University of London examining boards. And these examination boards make no distinction between students from different countries and nationalities. Reading for a University of London degree guarantees the student a certificate of excellence from one of the top ten Universities world-wide.

Valentina’s learning included the assimilation and implementation of knowledge. Together with her team SAP, she was a finalist in the JA Start-Up Competition 2022.

But then, once students register and start to attend classes, another aspect starts to become important. The Institute is proud to have a long and strong reputation as a student-centred teaching institution. This pedagogy is based on the Jacques Delors (2001) four pillars of education of learning to know, learning to do, learning to live and learning to be. Each student is equally important and when there is a will there is a way to stretch students’ abilities to reach the standards as set by the University of London.

At Saint Martin’s Institute no student is just a number!
