A Sound Education is Priceless

--

and what’s valuable does not come easy

In our daily encounters with students, we come across those who are being influenced by individuals about the value of reading for a degree! Furthermore, some say that if and only if, showing a degree is really necessary, then try and get away with the quickest and easiest option possible!

Our belief is exactly the opposite. Our community at Saint Martin’s Institute of Higher Education is living proof of the importance of a good degree attained from a reputable University.

Unfortunately these fables have been lost owing to the advent of modern technology and socials, but each of Aesop’s fables has a poignant lesson to be learnt. And in this case — no one wishes to see you better than them!

Success breeds success!

First things first. You cannot be successful if you are surrounded by mentors who do not believe in your opportunities. The choice of tutors and lecturers at Saint Martin’s Institute of Higher Education will guide you throughout the years of study, making a big difference on whether you will succeed or not. A professional faculty will stretch your abilities to learn — without breaking you!

Our results are available for your judgement

Take a look at these two statistical pie charts, reflecting our students’ attainment in the BSc (Hons) Business Administration degree conferred by the world renowned University of London.

This donut shows the extremely low percentage of failed papers (each student sits for eight examination papers every year of the degree) that Saint Martin’s Institute students achieve. But it also shows that two thirds of students (65%) manage to attain either the highest marks to get a distinction, or the second highest and attain a merit. The attainment skews towards the very top grades, which shows why students graduate with such a high classification in their BSc (Hons) degree!
These statistics puts everything in perspective. With such great results from examination papers, it is expected to have 100% of our graduates attaining the top classifications of First Class Honours and Second Class Upper Honours. This augurs well for these graduates in their careers, and in many cases open up doors to read for postgraduate studies at any of the very best universities overseas!

Examined by the University of London examination boards

Each and every student reading for the BSc (Hons) in Business Administration is taught by a dedicated faculty of lecturers and tutors at Saint Martin’s Institute of Higher Education a Recognised Teaching Centre for the University of London but all examinations are set, marked and moderated by the examination boards of the University of London.

Saint Martin’s Institute is delegated by the University of London to do the teaching, whilst the University is in charge of the assessment of its students registered in Malta.

This means that every examination script — all 97% of them that have passed, have done so purely on their own merits. The faculty at Saint Martin’s Institute need to prepare students very well. A sound education is paramount for our students, and we want them to be able to be ready for the tasks ahead when they are ready for full-time employment. No cutting of corners at Saint Martin’s Institute.
